Personal Values

PERSONAL VALUES

Personal values have an enormous impact on our beliefs, behaviours, decision & fulfilment. Given their central role in motivation, performance & happiness we all need to identify the values that drive us.

Instead of adopting the values that our society, culture, community or family dictates. Waking up often too late, to the emptiness of having missed our purpose, climbed the wrong ladder of success.  Realising that what we thought was important, was in fact meaningless .

CORPORATE VALUES

Most companies do the paper exercise of defining their values but few go further and embody them in the actions & behaviours of the company.  Nor do they reach the stage of becoming values driven companies which regularly:

  • Outperform the stock market by a factor of 15
  • Have higher employee performance, motivation & engagement

If your company values are the  mixed sum of your different department leader’s values and you lack corporate cultural coherence.  Then maybe we could talk, as in the current volatile environment, values are the guiding star that unites people, fosters resilience and gives us direction in the fog of uncertainty,
